eQUIP gets Inspired!

eQUIP is very excited to announce its new partnership with the Inspire Foundation. "We are thrilled to be aligned with the Inspire Foundation on such a promising program as the "I am happy" necklace. It is a great worthy cause that is so relevant to our customers, our staff and all our stakeholders. Our teams across our 75 stores throughout Australia are motivated to help change the situation that sadly, a lot of young people endure. Inspire is an Australian charity which creates opportunities for young people to change their world and they do this through their three national programs Reachout.com.au, Actnow.com.au and Beanbag.net.au. By ‘change their world’ Inspire means whatever is real for young people. This could be struggling with depression or suicidal thoughts, wanting to do something for their local community or simply experiencing new ways to learn and grow.

Inspire was founded in 1996 to address the then escalating rates of youth suicide. Since then the team has grown to over 200, thirty-three staff in Inspire’s Sydney and Melbourne offices and around 170 young people across Australia who volunteer their time and talent to the evolution and delivery of Inspire’s programs.

To help Inspire continue to reach as many young people as possible, eQUIP has launched the Inspire pendant available now throughout our stores. When you buy the pendant you’re donating $3 to Inspire. And as Reach Out! Youth Ambassador Rosie Swanton put it, whether you buy it for yourself or someone else, ‘it’s a gift that will continue to inspire and help thousands of other young people across Australia.’ The pendant also echoes Inspire’s dream for every young person through the words, ‘I am happy’ engraved on the back.
